Applicant Tracking Systems

Firstly, what is ATS?!
More and more recruiters are turning to Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to make their life easier. These programs store, collate, and often scan CVs for keywords which match the desired experience and characteristics of the employer’s ‘ideal candidate’.
The CVs or applications can then be ordered by ‘relevance’ to the job description. Usually a human makes the final decision on each candidate, but could easily be influenced by how ‘relevant’ the CV is rated.
This is certainly something to bear in mind for applicants when writing your CV. Luckily, I know exactly how to do that and I’ll even do the hard work for you!
ATS are often programmed to search for keywords in your CV, but how do we know what those keywords are? These are generally found in the job description itself and I will ensure that the right keywords are in your CV, to highlight how relevant your skills are. The hard part can be making sure your CV still reads well aside from those ‘magical’ keywords. Again, I can do this for you.
Together we can create an effective CV or application to take you through to the next stage of the selection process. After that, it’s up to you to impress your potential new employer.
