Let’s see… what do you need to know about me?
Over the course of my career, I have spent over 14 years studying and working in Human Resources in the Retail and Higher Education sectors. I have an MSc in Human Resources Management from the University of Strathclyde and have run and delivered many successful recruitment campaigns. As you might have guessed, I know a thing or two about what makes a great CV!
Something else you need to know about me is that I’m also a military spouse. My husband is an officer in the Royal Navy and in 2018 we were posted to the USA for 3 years. You can read all about our adventures on my blog site. It wasn’t possible for me to continue my HR career while we were overseas so I began blogging and rediscovered a love of writing.
Fastforward to our return to the UK in 2021, I began working as a writer. I have written articles for various publications, including The Military Mom Collective and the Military Coworking Network. I also caption social media posts for a range of small businesses in London.
So what is the obvious next step? I’m combining my HR experience with my writing skills and my understanding of the military community. That’s how Military Spouse Works was born and now I’m here to help you create effective CVs that are ATS-friendly.
